I hereby present my very first spider in my new apartment:
It is sitting in the ceiling in my living room, is about the size of a small match box and apparently it has no intention whatsoever of leaving. So I guess it is time for me to move. *sigh*

In my experience, the fumes from household organic solvents (turpentine, acetone, tuloene, etc.) will quickly impair spiders’ nervous system. This is useful for causing spiders to fall down from places which can not otherwise be reached.
It’s gone now…never underestimate the power of a man in the house!
