Northern lights in St Andrews.

Me and a colleague were spending the night at the James Gregory Telescope looking for new exoplanets. At around 11 p.m. we saw a sudden spike in the background flux and went outside to discover that a faint aurora was visible. It was a first time for both of us and luckily I managed to take a few photos before it dissappeared again.
